The Speech Accent Archive
The speech accent archive is a large set of speech samples from a variety of language backgrounds. Native and non-native speakers of English read the same paragraph and are carefully transcribed. Theoretically, I should sound like this (I was born 50 km away from the speaker´s hometown; she´s 32 and I´m 31). But I don´t, nor can I detect any trace of a Galician accent in her speech.
